City Library Hub

Located in the heart of City Campus, the City Library Hub provides convenient access to essential library resources, study space and student support services in a modern, student-focused environment. Developed in response to student feedback, the Hub brings together high-demand print collections, self-service borrowing and returns, reserved-book collection and library support, making it easier for students to access the resources they need close to where they learn.

The Hub, located in GC132, supports the disciplines taught at City Campus, including Education, Psychology and Social Work, and complements the University’s extensive online resources and the full library collections available at Francis Close Hall and Oxstalls. Students have quick access to frequently used course materials while remaining connected to our wider library services.

Alongside the Library Hub, a dedicated quiet study area in GC005 offers a comfortable environment for reading, research and independent learning. Students can also access private spaces for appointments with student support services, including careers and wellbeing support, helping to bring key services together in one convenient location.
