Project team

The project team consisted of 2 core staff and 1 paid student, from each of the 3 partners: University of Gloucestershire, University of the Arts London: London College of Fashion, and King’s College London.

These paid student roles were essential to bring student perspective into the core project thinking, directly engage other students as course quality assessors and road-testers for the blueprint, and to ensure that the main output designed for students would be understandable and relevant to their needs and uses for it.

University of Gloucestershire: Project Lead

University of Gloucestershire (UoG) is a recognised leader and pioneer in sustainability and Education for Sustainability (EfS) and has twice been named #1 most sustainable university in the UK in the People & Planet league. It developed an early strategic framework to embed EfS, winning international recognition and a UK Green Gown Award in 2010. Its track record for integration of EfS into a range of courses has led to a range of further awards, commissions and grants to lead major sector initiatives for EfS development. It developed a unique method for assessing EfS progress across its diverse portfolio and in 2021 recorded high quality EfS integrated into 67.5% of taught courses, with the University targeting 100% integration by 2027.
