What does it mean to be an International Woman at University of Gloucestershire?

Gunjan Tariyal shares her experience of studying here at the University.

Hi,

To mark International Women’s Day, Gunjan not only shares her experience of studying here at the University of Gloucestershire but also how she has embraced living and working here in the county.

The aim of this year’s campaign is to  #EmbraceEquity.  As we hear from Gunjan, being included and a sense of belonging feel right, so when we embrace equity, we embrace diversity, and we embrace inclusion.

We embrace equity to create harmony and unity, and to help drive success for all. Equality is the goal, and equity is the means to get there. Only through the process of equity, we can reach equality and we can all embrace equity. It’s not just something we say or write about. It’s something we need to think about, know, value and embrace. It’s what we believe in, unconditionally.

Equity means creating an inclusive world.

I’d like to thank Gunjan for sharing with us her journey so far, she is so much more than an international woman!
