Second Year Ollie Bentley shoots ‘The Skatepark’ as an Urban Landscape for the Zine and Moving Image brief.

For the Editorial Photography with Moving Image Module, my Zine focuses on displaying ‘The Skatepark’ as an Urban Landscape. 

Through research I found that within skateboarding photography, the focus is almost always on the skateboarders themselves, with the skatepark being put aside as a secondary, less important element. By solely focusing on the skatepark itself, rather than the people who normally inhabit the space, I feel that the images offer a unique perspective on skateboarding photography.

The light trails are used to convey motion, and the high contrast black and white style is used to emphasise the shape and form of the ramps.
