My concept for my portrait brief, focuses on the impact of the beauty industry has specifically targeted teenage audiences. Within my photographs, I wanted to explore and compare what we see within publications v’s the unedited image. Photographing this in discussion with my model to express the wider impact and to create a sense of my model being an individual.

Photographed in the style of I-D my photographers were inspired by the content found within the magazine, as well as photographer Jim Goldberg’s series ‘In my own words’.
