{"id":784,"date":"2017-02-20T17:01:52","date_gmt":"2017-02-20T17:01:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uniofglos.blog\/specialcollections\/?p=784"},"modified":"2017-02-20T17:01:52","modified_gmt":"2017-02-20T17:01:52","slug":"exciting-collaboration-with-atom-users","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.glos.ac.uk\/specialcollections\/2017\/02\/20\/exciting-collaboration-with-atom-users\/","title":{"rendered":"Exciting collaboration with AtoM users"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-677\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.glos.ac.uk\/specialcollections\/specialcollections\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/04\/sca-front-page.jpg\" alt=\"sca-front-page\" width=\"1280\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The University of Gloucestershire Special Collections and Archives are currently involved in a project with other AtoM catalogue software users to make our descriptions available on the Archives Hub. <a href=\"https:\/\/archiveshub.jisc.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Archives Hub<\/a> brings together catalogues from hundreds of higher education and specialist archives in the UK, making all their descriptions searchable in one place. Having a presence on Archives Hub will increase the audiences for our collections both in the UK and via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.archivesportaleurope.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Archives Portal Europe<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Jen Mitcham of the Borthwick Institute at the University of York is co-ordinating the project, working with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.artefactual.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Artefactual<\/a>, the developers of our online AtoM catalogue. AtoM (Access to Memory) is open source archive cataloguing software, meaning it is free to download and set up. We&#8217;ve been working hard to make our collections available online since setting up AtoM in summer 2015.
