Spatial audio is an immersive, three-dimensional sound experience, that creates the perception of height, depth, and distance.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At University of Gloucestershire, we\u2019ve developed 3 immersive audio labs that enable our researchers and students to experiment using the latest spatial technology to produce a wide range of music and sound experiences \u2013 from our 22.2 spatial array, to our Dolby ATMOS theater and our immersive audiovisual rig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyday is spatial <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our Everyday Is Spatial conference series has presented sound-works from international artists and academics including contemporary classical, hypnotic electronica and ecological field recordings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along the way, we have worked with composers, performers, music technologists, sound researchers and even architects to explore the possibilities of this developing audio medium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
