RPE Students invited to get involved in grass roots environmenatl projects

This week , as part of our placements module Engaging Humanities, students were invited to spend placement time with the Stroud Valleys Project, based, believe it or not, In Stroud. Sharon Gardham, a long term friend of the RPE department came in to talk to students on the module this week and offered a number of exciting placement opportunities working on various projects, some involving community gardens, others regenerative work on local canals and places of environmental importance around the area. Previous students who have taken up the offers have been involved in policy design, working in the Eco shop in Stroud town centre and getting their hands dirty in various field based projects. they get to work with a cross section of volunteers and importantly for their projects engage in the ethical and environmental issues that have motivated that have motivated the organisation.
