{"id":5971,"date":"2025-01-07T11:26:02","date_gmt":"2025-01-07T11:26:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.glos.ac.uk\/landscapearchitecture\/?p=5971"},"modified":"2025-01-07T11:26:02","modified_gmt":"2025-01-07T11:26:02","slug":"memorial-to-david-dutson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.glos.ac.uk\/landscapearchitecture\/2025\/01\/07\/memorial-to-david-dutson\/","title":{"rendered":"Memorial to David Dutson"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"\">Plans are at an advanced stage to plant a tree at Francis Close Hall campus, Cheltenham, to commemorate a former landscape architecture student who went on to establish his own practice on the island of Jersey.<strong>&nbsp;David Dutson<\/strong>, who died this year, originally qualified with an honours degree and diploma in 1989 from the Gloucestershire College of Arts and Technology, a predecessor institute that formed the University of Gloucestershire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Subsequently he moved to Jersey on a 3-year working contract for a landscape architectural practice and stayed there for 27 years, after which he set up his own chartered practice in 2016.
