fountains of the Villa d&#8217;Este (listen to the composition by Listz on Youtube)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3569\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.glos.ac.uk\/landscapearchitecture\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/159\/sites\/445\/2019\/04\/deste.jpg\" alt=\"deste\" width=\"698\" height=\"924\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong> Hoodies at dawn: hooded crows scavenge throughout the city, but the green (rose-ringed) parakeets are noisier<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3570\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.glos.ac.uk\/landscapearchitecture\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/159\/sites\/445\/2019\/04\/hoodies_et_al.jpg\" alt=\"hoodies_et_al\" width=\"668\" height=\"956\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><strong> Trail of the lonesome pine<em>: Pinus pinea<\/em> or stone pine provides an ever-present evocative backdrop<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3578\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.glos.ac.uk\/landscapearchitecture\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/159\/sites\/445\/2019\/04\/pines.jpg\" alt=\"pines\" width=\"984\" height=\"554\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li><strong> Selfie-stick salesmen: and if rain is forecast or falling, they will rustle up a cheap umbrella<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3577\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.glos.ac.uk\/landscapearchitecture\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/159\/sites\/445\/2019\/04\/selfie.jpg\" alt=\"selfie\" width=\"464\" height=\"408\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li><strong> Rome wasn&#8217;t built in a day: the main building materials are the ubiquitous &#8216;granite&#8217; setts in the roads and travertine (a kind of limestone) in the buildings<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3574\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.glos.ac.uk\/landscapearchitecture\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/159\/sites\/445\/2019\/04\/stones.jpg\" alt=\"stones\" width=\"816\" height=\"1348\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li><strong> SPQR Senatus Populusque Romanus: The Senate (government) and the people of Rome &#8211; originally the ancient Roman Republic but now used everywhere even manhole covers<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3576\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.glos.ac.uk\/landscapearchitecture\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/159\/sites\/445\/2019\/04\/spqr.jpg\" alt=\"spqr\" width=\"1110\" height=\"776\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol start=\"9\">\n<li><strong> The reputation of Italian waiters: Formula Uno restaurant &#8211;
