The criteria for judging are set out by the <a href=\"http:\/\/peopleandplanet.org\/dl\/greenleague\/2012\/guide.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">People &amp; Planet Green Guide<\/a>, and include (amongst others):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Environmental Policy,<\/li>\n<li>Ethical Investment Policy,<\/li>\n<li>Ethical Procurement &amp; Fairtrade,<\/li>\n<li>Curriculum,<\/li>\n<li>Staff &amp; Student Engagement,<\/li>\n<li>Energy Sources,<\/li>\n<li>Carbon Reduction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>According to the People &amp; Planet organisation, this gives the university a 1st Class award!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The University of Gloucestershire has been placed 4th out of 146 in the 2012 Green League Guide, as covered by the Guardian newspaper\u00a0here.
