Meet your History team at University of Gloucestershire.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

These are the historians and researchers who are going to guide you through your training as a student of history!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are a close-knit bunch at Gloucestershire, and pride ourselves on having a close, supportive relationship with our students. Our research interests vary greatly \u2013 from the stories of Soviet women to Victorian historiography and American blues music \u2013 but we all share an infectious enthusiasm for asking new questions about the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On each of the staff profiles, you can find a brief description of our main research and teaching interests, as well as proof that we have human lives beyond studying historical change! Dr Mark Hutchinson<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mark is a Lecturer in Early Modern History whose research explores the intractable problems posed by the Reformation(s) as found in the Holy Roman Empire (Germany), England and Ireland, asking how religious division and distrust reshaped key European political ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vicky is Senior Lecturer in History. With a specialist interest in nineteenth-century intellectual history, Vicky\u2019s research focuses on the relationship(s) between race, religion, and politics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
