Vicky Morrisroe -Commemorating Chartism (Autumn 2012)

Students and staff may be interested in the event “Commemorating Chartism” which is being organized by the University of Wales. The event will be held in the town which was the scene of the abortive Newport Rising of 1839, and features many talks, readings from primary documents, and visits related to the Chartist movement. The events are free of charge and will be held throughout October and November.
