Artist-in-Residence 2026: Natasha Houseago

PARK CAMPUS ARTIST-in-residence 2026

Elwes Gallery is delighted to announce the first artist-in-residence at Park Campus, wood carver Natasha Houseago. Natasha is working outdoors in the campus grounds from March 2026 over the spring and autumn terms.

Natasha mainly works with locally sourced wood that has fallen naturally, and during her residency we will witness the various processes involved in direct carving, from drawings and marking out a section of tree, to ‘blocking out’ with a bow saw and defining the form with chisel and mallet, to finally finishing the sculpture with rasps and scrapers.

Having recently completed a number of large public commissions, Natasha is using the time and space on campus to focus on her personal practice and welcomes opportunities to chat to students and staff.
