At the Festival of Learning in June 2017, a number of these projects were showcased in a lunchtime exhibition. The sustainability team also showcased work undertaken as part of their&nbsp;<em>LIFT: Learning Innovation for Tomorrow&nbsp;<\/em>strand, and some other projects across the University used it as an opportunity to share their work with others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visitors voted, with the help of the Academic Development Unit&#8217;s Learning Technologists, for the most interesting stand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The winner was&nbsp;Psychology student Janet Oostendorp, whose work on&nbsp;therapy&nbsp;dogs has begun to move in the direction of VR in addition to the&nbsp;live work. Janet is joined in the picture by student&nbsp;Jodie Callow, and Maisie, the therapy dog, as well as by <a href=\"https:\/\/davewebster.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr David Webster<\/a>, the University&#8217;s Head of Learning &amp; Teaching Innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/uniofglos.blog\/festivaloflearning\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2019\/04\/exhibit-winners.jpg?fit=1024%2C553&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-368\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The runner -up was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.glos.ac.uk\/academic-schools\/media\/staff-profiles\/pages\/s2110914-jeremy-power.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jeremy Power <\/a>(pictured here with willing student&nbsp;Bryony Blyth, and Dave again), whose&nbsp;Risk Assessment eLearning Project was rolled out across the Media School, and became a prerequisite for students wanting to book out equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/uniofglos.blog\/festivaloflearning\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2019\/04\/exhhibit-runnersup.jpg?fit=1024%2C580&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-369\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The University of Gloucestershire&#8217;s eLearning initiative, which is ongoing, has provided funding and advice to a number of projects over the last year or so.
