This is a documentary of my family home whilst in lockdown. I wanted it to be as natural as\u00a0possible,\u00a0so I decided to use my iPhone 7 to take and edit these images.\u00a0My biggest inspiration for this piece is Stephan Shores piece\u00a0‘Detail’ from July 22nd, 1969\u00a0because the images seem so honest and\u00a0are\u00a0presented in black and white\u00a0squares.\u00a0I explored using colour, but it didn\u2019t have the same feel to it, so I carried on with black and white.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The house includes Jayne\u00a0Waby\u00a0(my mum), Simon\u00a0Waby\u00a0(my dad), Leah Roberts (my girlfriend), Romeo\u00a0Waby\u00a0(mine and Leah\u2019s cat) and Max\u00a0Waby\u00a0(myself). We have lived here since 2000. Mum always says it\u2019s lived in, not messy. Leah moved into the family home\u00a0in\u00a02017, 6 months into our relationship,\u00a0after\u00a0being a survivor of domestic violence in her family home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This series gives an insight into our lives and the fun, wild side and\u00a0that\u00a0even with the lockdown,\u00a0not every day is bad.\u00a0It also shows the emotional side\u00a0of the relationships\u00a0within the images. We don\u2019t always get on, but we\u2019re glad we\u2019re not alone\u00a0at this time.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
