Netting new experiences

Students from our Television Production course are providing a livestream of Students’ Union Netball as they develop their outside broadcast skills.

Using technician Ivor Richards’ outside broadcast van, the first-year Television Production students, who had previously only spent four weeks in a multi-camera environment, rotate through different production roles as each game develops. All the TVP students help to rig and de-rig.

The commentary is provided by Sports Journalism students, enabling them to put into practice what they have been learning on modules.
