What’s on
Each term we offer a range of activities from dog walking to soup making, from sharing ideas to sharing quiet. You are very welcome to join in with any of them.
For the latest information, please join our Chaplaincy WhatsApp group. You can also drop into the lovely Sanctuary spaces we host on each campus whenever you like, with refreshments, comfortable seating and quiet areas.
Dog walks
Come for a dog walk with us. A great way to de-stress, meet others and spend time with some furry friends.
- Park Campus, outside the Sanctuary: 2.30pm on Thursdays
- Francis Close Hall Chapel or Laurie Lee Building at Pittville at 2.00pm on Fridays

Join us for 45 mins of singing to brighten your day, on Tuesdays from 12.45pm – 1.30pm at FCH Chapel.

Would you like to help us redevelop the Orchard Garden at FCH? Meet at 2pm on Fridays in the Sanctuary for some gentle gardening. Wear suitable clothes, gloves provided. Email Simon to join the WhatsApp group.

Sport activities for all students at Oxstalls every Monday from 3.00pm – 5.00pm in the sports hall opposite the Sanctuary – badminton, basketball, footie…
Big questions cafe
Come and share ideas and a free lunch with students from different backgrounds and beliefs – every Wednesday, 1pm – 2pm at Park Sanctuary.
wellbeing wednesdays
Cook, craft, garden, games, cake, banter… From 2.30 – 4.30pm at Park Sanctuary.
Cake and chat
Sharing all sorts of cake and chatting about all kinds of things. Join us on Mondays at Francis Close Hall Chapel from 5 – 6.15pm and from 12 – 2pm on the 1st floor past the ping pong at City Campus.

On Tuesdays at Park from 12.30 – 2pm with soup, bread and cookies.

NEURODIVERSITY DROP-IN
Drinks donuts and gentle activities in Park Sanctuary on Thursdays from 4.30 – 5.30pm for anyone who is exploring or identifies as neurodivergent.
Prayer and reflection
There are many opportunities for prayer and reflection at the University.
There is a simple Communion service in one of the Sanctuaries on Thursdays at 12.30pm (1st Thursday FCH Chapel, 2nd Oxstalls, 3rd Park, 4th City). For more info email Simon .
Jum’uah for Muslim students and staff is led by Atique Miah at Oxstalls Sanctuary at 1pm and student led at Park.
A gathering for African students on the last Sunday of each month for Christian worship and delicious spicy food in FCH Chapel. Contact Simon on +44 7715 041 525 to join the ASF WhatsApp group.
