Hello everyone and welcome to the February Newsletter. As our schools move into a packed term full of mock, the CEP programme focuses mostly on ongoing programmes, with a few exciting on-off events dotted around. With Spring just around the corner, there is a feeling of energy and excitement in the air!
January saw a small selection of events, with the second of our Great Debate serious tackling issues around economic growth. The Debate was a great success and and as always a huge thank you to Miss Brown at Bounside for putting it together.
We were also paid a visit by UK TikTok star Phil Carr, who spoke with our students about life as a content creator. We have recorded this session as a special Spill the Tea podcast that should be up and running very soon.

We have had the third sessions of both Civics and Creative Writing Societies as bth sets of grous come closer to greating their final projects.
Moving into this month, the third in the Changemakers workshop series guided our young people into new elements of project management, including gathering and displaying information – a huge thank you to Raechel Kelly, Polly Gannaway-Pitts and Louise Forey for supporting that session.
With half term in the middle, February is a relatively quiet month. Our Mars Rover teams will finish their projects at Cleeve School on Feb 20-21st and our Young Poets will continue their journeys with a practice session at Pittville School on Feb 22nd.
The next big event will be Chelt4Change on March 1st at Cheltenham Ladies College, where we shall invite experts from the health sector to engage around the table with our young people. Our guests will include Professor Dame Jenny Harries and Dr Mark Pietroni.
