Legacies of Slavery in Tewkesbury

This project was conducted by students Ella Stalker and Morgan Casley in partnership with Tewkesbury Voices. As part of a wider initiative in Gloucester that focuses on the hidden connection to transatlantic slavery, this project focuses on the hidden story behind three figures memorialized in Tewkesbury Abbey. The students exhibited their work in Tewkesbury Museum, and also took part in a panel discussion at Tewkesbury Abbey for Black History Month in October 2025.
