Veteran footballer keith takes on england

Alumnus and veteran footballer Keith Beardmore, 81, will be stepping out onto the pitch tomorrow in the inaugural Over 75’s international fixture against England. ⚽

Keith, who studied at St Paul’s College, a predecessor of the University of Gloucestershire, is part of the Wales Veterans’ Football Association squad competing for the Aneurin Bevan Shield.

Kick off is at 1.30pm at St George’s Park, Staffordshire, which is the home of the England Football Association.

Keith, who started studying at St Paul’s College (now Francis Close Hall), in 1964, will also be representing Wales in the Veteran’s World Cup, taking place from 20 to 23 August.
